Her theory is that if hormones are out of whack then the pounds start to come on. Plus, she says that most weight gain is from stress hormone. It is one of those that just makes sense to me. I was able to find her book at the library, so check it out there first. I am still working on my 7 year old baby fat! ha ha! So the cardio and aerobics are awesome (and SO beneficial), but the weight lifting helps it be more effective. More muscle = higher metabolism = more fat lost.
Still, with all the working out that I do, you amaze me. My endurance is so flimsy compared to your four miles running and ten miles biking! If I don't start seeing some progress -- any kind! -- I may just go back to sleeping later in the morning, because if my body responds in exactly the same manner to both exercise and sleep, well, then I choose sleep.

Here's my regimen -- starting this week:

Monday -- 3-4 mile run
Tuesday -- swim, but I just started that today and so I'll ramp it up slowly. Also, you can alternate more hard/soft exercise (12 minutes hard, 20 minutes rest) as that's proven to be a better use of your time. Or, try reducing how much meat you eat in a week and not combining it with dairy. I'm a Christian, but I live in Israel right now, and being forced to keep kosher outside my home (i.e. no butter on my chicken) has allowed me to lose about 15 lbs the last 12 months while also being in the best cardio health of my life.Anonymoushttp://exegetical.diaryland.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2973923536525380696.post-29226277707248356762010-09-27T15:23:34.263-07:002010-09-27T15:23:34.263-07:00so my "baby" will be 16 in two weeks.......so my "baby" will be 16 in two weeks....the extra weight I have is from late night snacking and not enought daytime moving!
