I want to be a part of it ...

NEW YORK, NEW YOOOOOORK!!!!

I bet New Yorkers hate that song.

So here we go, the obligatory travel log.

We only spent three days in the Big Apple, so we hopped to the most important things. Ya know. Gray's Papaya hot dogs and Roxy's cheesecake. (So. So yummy. Although J Dawgs is better.)
My Man spilled. It's okay, hun - it was very spillable.

We did everything. EVERYTHING. I will spare you the 24729837429424 pictures of random buildings that I took, however. Suffice it to say that if you've heard of it, we saw it. (Even the "P" where Eloise lives.)
We did the tour bus thingy, and it was freakin' cold. And all our warm stuff is currently in a big container at sea. So. We were freakin' cold. And wet. And cold. Did I mention it was cold?

We saw lots of cool things on top of the double-decker, including this statue. If anyone wants to tell me what it means, please do. (For serious. This is keeping me up at night.)
I zoomed to take a picture of this bird. I had trouble walking normally on top of the Empire State Building. I'm not afraid of heights, but can we say vertigo?
Central Park was amazing. The lung of the city.
We did 5th avenue, and I bought this dress. I feel like a garden fairy princess. I might need wings.

But my favorite by far was Liberty and Ellis Islands. An immigrant, traveling overseas, finally arriving in the land of the free and the home of the brave - I can connect to that.

At least I didn't have this much luggage.

Yeah, right. I bet that's everything they made you gate check on the plane because you tried to play it all off as a carry on. "What do you mean babies don't need seven pieces in the overhead bin? And I DEFINITELY need all twelve of these for myself."

My husband leaves for NYC tomorrow morning. Without me. Again.

Maybe I'll just download your pix and photoshop our faces into them.

Looky, everyone! My husband dripped a hot dog on his shirt!

I think I must be really shallow, because after reading that all I'm thinking is, "I want that dress."

Sigh.

NYC is so fun. All the yummy food, all the sights. . .so much to do, so little time to squeeze it all in. You look great in the dress. Glad you had a good time. Just think, if your house had closed you would have been moving instead of jet setting.
