I've heard about this mythical thing called a "close" - I have my doubts.

House = not closed.

I find it interesting that some friends of ours looked for, offered on, were accepted, did inspections, financed, closed, and MOVED since the time we found our house.

Like ray-ya-yaaaaaaain on your weddin' daaaaaaay.
So after watching THAT VIDEO, we flew to Arizona and "resolved cucumbers," which in Portuguese means "resolved some little problems." I have faith that we will move before the end of summer. Maybe.

It didn't take too long to figure out that not only is it phenomonally boring to be in a hotel with three children, but freaking expensive.

Off to Michigan! My sister's bedroom is free. Plus ALSO, there are lots of doting relatives that love nothing more than play let's-throw-Little Prince-on-the-couch-AGAIN all day. These relatives love the game so much, in fact, that we let them play it for a week straight at no cost, while My Man and I hightailed it to New York.

I know. AWESOME.

We rented a car and drove the four leetle hours to Niagra Falls first. We went through Canada, cuz we're these awesome international travelers, didntcha know? Oui oui, yes yes. (They're bilingual there.)

We went on that thing. It was wet.

By the way, did I tell you I am a nothing nobody? Everyone is. IT'S TRUE. Just look at the millions of gallons of water carving away the earth and you'll find out how exactly nothing nobody YOU are.

Then it was off to visit Super Awesome Sister-in Law (SASIL) who happens to have the Sweetest Cheeked Niece Ever (SCNE). This is the SASIL who is married to the Amazing Potsticker Maker Doctor Who Also Makes His Own Freaking Amazing Furniture. (APMDWAMHOF.) I feel sorry for you that you're not related to them.

They live a scant half hour from Palmyra, where this church got its start.

These trees have known diety. I know it.

Then we finished driving across New York, dipped into New Jersey, and went forty-five minutes out of our way to eat Coldstone. Cookie batter ice cream is WORTH IT PEOPLE.

And then we visited this lady.

I love New York. I LOVE NEW YORK. New York is the

Nope, can't think of any adjectives cool enough to describe the [insert word] that is New York.

Still nothing. And you'll have to wait for stories and picures, because the sheer volume of what I have to say scares me, and also because I want to hold you in suspense. And also because I'm cruel. (Oh the things you are discovering about me ................)
*mwa-ahahahahahahahhahaha*
O-KAY, that officially signals that I need to go to bed. Toodles!

What better way to celebrate being in America than to really be in America and remind yourself of all the things you love about it! It all sounds amazing. I would love to go to every single place you mentioned. Even your SASIL. :)

Stupid blogger just erased my comment. This one won't be nearly as eloquent. (It's 7:00 am. Who am I kidding.)

I'm sorry you haven't closed yet. Is there a date set or are you waiting for all the jots and tittles to be completed?

At least you have some really fun distractions, right?

Super jealous of your adventures in New York.

Here's hoping your "little cucumbers" are no more and you close on your house soon.

When we moved to PR, we spent 81 glorious days living at the San Juan Embassy Suites -- at government expense, of course. Oh, my, THAT was nice...

But when we moved to Vegas, the whole hotel dealio got old REALLY fast. I'm glad you have the Michigan Family Rescue Mission (MFRM) to help out!

And I wish I knew a doctor who made potstickers, I really do.

(And because this little typo made me laugh, only to remember that you were talking about the sacred grove, which then made me send up an apology prayer to all parties involved, I thought I'd mention that, as of this moment, your comment about the trees sounds like they've all been watching their cholesterol. I'm pretty sure you meant to reverse the "i" and the "e"?)

Livin' in limbo land, eh? So glad you get to do it with such fab family around you - that takes the edge off. Praying for a quick-ER close for you - oi!

And you're just adorable, by the way, but I'm sure you knew that.

She's coming to America... toDAY! (everyone sing with me)...She's coming to America. Sorry, I had a little Lee Greenwood moment there. So glad to have you back in this land. Sorry there's a rough transition period. If you keep traveling throughout the midwest, swing by these parts and we'll play. :)

That sounds so fun! We went to Niagara with 3 kids. Probably not quite as romantic. But it was memorable.

I would love to take that trip. I have been to New York, but only New York City; not the awesome church sites. Hope things get ironed out with your house soon! (Now your doubly misplaced!)

Sounds like an adventure, how fun! I haven't been to NY in years, I bet it's even more fabulous now. I hope your house closes soon. The headhaches we had getting our house closed and moved into honestly makes me never want to move, I don't care if we have 15 kids and they ALL have to share a room.....

LUCKY! I was so excited to see your post, and what adventures you're having! The house has to close soon. Before you know it. Then you'll be enjoying the sweltering opressiveness that is the Arizona summer. At least it's a dry heat, as opposed to Brazil, right? You're actually missing some really mild weather right now. I don't think it got to 100 today. So get back here before it turns on us!
