When you know your kid reads too many books

On a recent family bike ride, a particularly smelly truck blew past us.

Sunshine, on taking a whiff, shouted, "I smell Jupiter!"

When we expressed confusion, he explained, "Yeah, because Jupiter's made of gas!"

Duh.

The logic of preschoolers is awesome! But reading too many books always gets bonus points in my book.

{chuckle, chuckle}

I smell a junior scientist. (Not Sid the Science Kid, either.)

There's no such thing as too many books. I'm a believe that it's one area where you're totally allowed to indulge/spoil your children.

He's a clever one, isn't he?

I don't think our kids should hang out - mine would just be a horrible influence on yours. Especially since my husband has taught them to refer to farting everytime something smells, even if it smells nothing like a fart.
