If I were a poet

I would write sonnets about your eyes

I would sing songs about how you look at me

Your eyes straight into mine

The slow blinks, the contemplative stare

(How often do we truly look into another's soul like that?)

Grown-ups take brief little peeks - then grow shy

Looking down, up - away

But you, you are my baby

There are no qualms or social stigmas

Just you and me, kid

And a whole lotta love

What an angel. I had a moment with one of my babies where she looked me right in the heart, and I was hit with the full impact of her ageless soul. Really cool to think about now. Kinda freaked me out then!

Exactly. That stare is probably my number one favorite (and most special/sacred) thing about motherhood. It's hard for me to stare back without crying. These days (he's 3 months) my heart leaps with the light of recognition in his eyes and the toothless smile across his face.

Also, those cheeks DEMAND to be kissed! What a cutie.

Aw, I'm jealous and tickled for you at the same time. There is NOTHING like it!

Enjoy, savor, devour and let the dishes sit!

YAY! I've been itching for more pictures....

He's beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I don't think I've ever seen a baby so young look so handsome. I especially love the picture of him in the little striped doggie outfit.

Good thing he's so cute--he can clearly keep up with his brothers in the "awww" factor!

Those pictures are dangerous, ma'am.

I am sure there isn't a husband in this world who isn't cursing you right now. :D He is so adorable and I want to scrunch him (as my sisters would say). ugh... I really need another one!

What a sweetheart!!! I just want to burry my nose right down into his little neck and smell all that sweet goodness. I just don't know how you can stand not just eating him right up!! I just love new babies. He sure is handsome just like his brothers :)
