This week was
DR. SUESS WEEK
First, read:
and visit a nature preserve.
Then, read:
and draw pictures of what you'll be when you grow up. (Little Prince: an artist, a teacher, a cooker, a soccer player, and a DAD. Sunshine: a planedriverpilot. It's one word.)
Then, read:
make Thing cupcakes
and fly kites.
For our service project, I was planning on picking up Kathy's Lego room (ala Cat in the Hat, of course) - but we're in Michigan. Can we do it when we get back, beb?

I LOVED The Lorax as a kid!! Great ideas for this week!
You are my hero!
I will totally be revisiting all of these in like 5 years when my kiddo's are all needing summer awesomeness. (right now, it's a bucket of trains and we're set)
I was always delighted by the fact that the Lorax could pick himself up by the seat of his pants and fly.
I won't tell you how many wedgies later I admitted that it was poetic license on the part of the good Doctor, an act not duplicable outside the lab.
This just tickled me pink. Neil proposed to me with a Dr. Seuss book.
Ha ha ha -- actually, I think our lego room is good. At least until the cousins come over :) Then we'll call you.
But hey -- when you have robot building week, let me know. I am sure we can find some gears and stuff to build something cool!
Have fun away from this horrible heat!
