In which science stinks

Kay, so have you heard about the hulabaloo over the NEW astrological signs?Apparently the moon's gravitational pull, blah blah blah, things have moved, yadda yadda, and they've decided to change everything around. Read your (possibly) new sign here.

I am now a Gemini. And up til now I've been a Cancer.

I mean, really folks, this changes everything. Now I have " the ability to communicate effectively and think clearly" where before I was marked by "the tenacity with which I protect my loved ones."  I'm confused. I used to be a crab. Now I'm a twin. I used to be water. Now I'm air. Is pearl still my birthstone, ya think? Cuz I really have a thing for pearls.

Although I used to not be compatible with Leo, which is what My Man is, and now I am (since he's still a Leo.) So OBVIOUSLY they've finally gotten the whole astrology thing straightened out.

It just kills me how often SCIENCE changes its mind. Pluto's a planet. Then it isn't. Caffeine is good for you. Then it isn't. Your lucky number is 13. No, it's 8, sorry.

Isn't it nice to know that God never changes? That He really is truth and light? That science - even if they've PROVED we're descended from apes - just can't catch up with the Lord Almighty?

He is infinite. He is eternal. And I am so compatible with My Man.

I've gone from Taurus to Aries. I'm feeling all sorts of conflicted. And suddenly, much more courageous, innovative and determined.

I think it's just for people born after 2009... http://www.sandiego.com/news/no-you-don-t-have-to-change-your-zodiac-sign

Okay, so now I'm wondering how close our birthdays are since I also "switched" from Cancer to Gemini. I've always thought a crab was quite fitting.

Except astrology isn't science, of course. It's hogwash. I've definitely never been remotely Capricorn.

I'm not even a "red" or a "Type A" or anything else. Except a me. I'm me.

What Melanie said. ASTRONOMY is science. ASTROLOGY is a bunch of bunk. I had an astronomy professor explain that with the shift if the earth and stars, the zodiac--pretending for a second it meant ANYTHING--would have been outdated centuries ago.

Cute that they decided to update it now and mess with people's heads who do believe in such silliness.

Your point stands--man's attempts at explaining God's works are rather pale.

My favorite post of the day. Is there something evil about me that I am totally getting a kick out of thinking about all those people who have put such stock in "their sign", who now have to come up with justifications about how they were born with personality traits that are suddenly different from the ones they were born with last year? ;) Thanks for making me laugh, and making me think.

That was SO well put that I actually want to stand up and applaud.

Although, I'd really like to switch birthstones. Mine's kind of ugly.

I'll switch you... I like being a Gemini... just like the sound of it better than Taurus. I feel like I should do some sort of cheer with a label like Taurus.

I'm so not switching. Once a Libra...always one! ha!

Actually you don't, according to San Diego news this new sign thing is not supported by astrologists. Found this on Twitter: http://www.sandiego.com/news/no-you-don-t-have-to-change-your-zodiac-sign....Rest well Cancer, LOL

Hahaha, those horoscope things are sooo ridiculous! Science does its best, but it's never been a match for eternal truth. Sometimes it amuses me how scientists seem so sure of themselves, but a lot of them are really seeking truth (and just going about it the wrong way)!

Aaahhhh. I have missed your postings.

Well, that's a relief, because Saggitarius never really fit me anyway. It's hard to spell and long to write. Scorpio is so much easier to say. And write. And spell. I guess the universe is on my side now.

What a bunch of hogwash.

And of course now, the change was a hoax! You can still be a cancer. Not that it matters in the slightest!
